Default Sub-Device Count | Dependency on other parameters?

Hello everybody,

I have wondered if the sub-device count as reported in a DEVICE_INFO response can change depending on other (RDM-configurable) device settings?

In particular, could SET:DMX_PERSONALITY also change the sub-device count? Chapter [E1.20 : 10.6.1] states that "many RDM parameters may be affected by changing personality", but maybe I miss a closer definition of which parameters could indeed be affected (e.g. DMX-related parameters only).

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Cheers,
Matthias

Hi,
Yes the sub device count can change with personality. In fact, that is probably the biggest use of personality.
