The two I generally go with is the DMXter4 and the Enttec Sniffer. The Sniffer is great as it essentially Wireshark for RDM which is very helpful. I use the Enttec Controller quite a bit as well (even though it is a bit buggy) as the UI is more friendly for basic message testing.
The only thing that does hardcore timing tests well and good abuse tests is the DMXter4.
